Over the past 20 years I’ve talked to audiences across North America about life balance, health and energy, coached clients from all walks of life, and educated people about their own health, happiness, life balance and success. Recently I’ve been paying closer attention to commonalities among the high-performers I’ve met along this journey; energy habits that make them standouts in everything they do. I’m noticing interesting things that I’d like to share with you.

What do high-performers say about self-care, and what do they believe is the #1 non-negotiable high-performance health habit you need to embrace?

Which morning ritual will set you up for high-performance success like no other?

What do high-performers say is the ultimate key to time-management and focus?

Do women need to be aware of different high-performance energy habits than men?

How can your team integrate high-performance energy habits into work and life to become truly high-performing people?

When you embrace the energy habits of high-performing people you show up as a leader and strive for success in all you do. You take on bigger challenges, and better manage stress. You find ways to take care of your energy – mind, body and spirit – no matter what is coming at you. You feel great about yourself and your capabilities. What’s possible from there?

So often we measure an individual’s success based on career achievements and financial stability, but if it has come at the cost of health and life balance can we really call it success? What good is prosperity if you don’t have the energy or quality of life to truly appreciate your accomplishments? Here are a few truths I’ve observed about energy and high-performance:

1) When it comes to digging in and getting the work done we often take our health for granted, but high-performance requires implementation of daily energy habits to keep that mental, physical and emotional machine running at optimum. Do you take your energy for granted?

2) More often than not these daily energy habits are quick and simple, but we overthink things, and end up doing nothing. With a little awareness of the right habits to implement, and a little discipline to be consistent with your efforts, better energy and performance can be yours quicker than you think. Do you have daily energy habits that work for you?

3) The time that it takes to negotiate a few energy habits into your daily schedule will pay massive dividends through the increased productivity and focus you’ll gain once your new levels of energy kick in.
