“Eliminate the mindset of CAN’T! Because you can do anything!”
~ Tony Horton

Hey, Michelle Cederberg here. Coming to you from Calgary Airport on another day of travel for speaking…this time to exotic North Battleford via Saskatoon.

Because I’m traveling all day today – up at 5:45 a.m., land in Saskatoon, drive to North Battleford, present, drive back to the airport, fly back to Calgary – I am on the go all. day. long.

And already I can hear myself saying, “When are you going to write Michelle?” I’ve committed to 30 minutes of writing a day. You all know what your goals are that you’ve committed to this month. And I keep saying “Oh, I’m not going to have time today.” But I’m going to be sitting on the plane today for an hour, there and back… and since I’ve only committed to a half hour a day of writing, there are no excuses.

Watch the video below or read the transcript that follows.

Mindset is a powerful thing to help you get your goals crushed. When you plan to do the thing that you committed to do, and you don’t do it, what do you tell yourself? Do you tell yourself “I can’t do this! This always happens. It’s no use. I’ll do it tomorrow.” Or are you figuring out a way around the barriers?

Because the only way we are going to crush these goals is to figure out a way around these barriers.

I’ve said it before, you can’t be upset about the results that don’t get from the work that you don’t do. So small steps do count!

This week as we’re heading into the second week of June and an opportunity to dig in with those goals, don’t let your mindset shift you towards “I’ll do it tomorrow.” Give yourself the opportunity to say YES to small steps, even if you don’t feel like it (I’ve said it before, you’re not always going to  feel like it). Do that thing. Just get out and start doing it.

I will be writing on the plane, I will be writing again tomorrow morning because I’ve committed to 30 minutes a day. So, recommit to your goal, then decide when you’re going to attack it this week, and how am I going to keep my mindset positive?

Until next time, I’m Michelle Cederberg helping you transform your work and your life one goal-setting recharge at a time.
