“Gratitude and attitude are not challenges; they are choices.”
~ Robert Braathe
It’s easy to have gratitude and a positive attitude when everything is going great, but what about on the tough days? That’s when it’s most needed, and hardest to embrace. It’s hard to put a smile on your face when everything is a struggle, or to find the good in a lousy situation. And it’s damn near impossible to embrace a positive attitude through negative circumstances. I get it, but if it’s all you’ve got, it’s a heck of a lot.
Even the smallest “I’m grateful for…” is a reminder that good things are all around us if we choose to look for them. And if nothing else, a positive attitude will make the journey through the muck a heck of a lot more tolerable.
Through the highs (which I hope are plentiful) and the lows (that we all face from time to time) look for the good and go from there. With that mindset, the only way is up!
