Ahhh the lazy, hazy days of summer. The weather is warm, the days are long, and energy seems to perk up, doesn’t it? How are you making the most of it? Summer is a great time to recharge personally and professionally. Use that sunshine energy to amp up your activities. Take advantage bountiful farmer’s market to eat more fresh, healthy fruits and vegetables. Use office time to clean up, set goals, and get forgotten tasks done.
This time of year, I have less time on the road with speaking, so it’s a great time to get things done in the business, and also with other parts of my life.
Personally, I’m looking forward to family visits, working in my garden, cycling more, and doing weight training sessions with my personal trainer (yes I could do it on my own, but I never work as hard when I do, so I’ve hired a great trainer to kick my butt). Fun (but not fun).
Professionally, I’m continuing to coach some clients, finalizing a new website (so exciting), writing a book, AND continuing to film my weekly work-life recharge videos.
The video below is #27, which puts me smack dab in the middle of my project and also means we’re darn close to the middle of the year…with plenty of time for you to make a big impact with your own work-life recharge.
And it occurred to me that maybe I should ask YOU – my followers – what topics you’d like to see covered in upcoming videos. Think about it. Anything that will help you recharge your work and life, is fair game, and I’m always up for a challenge. So, what do you want from me?
Yes, I can cover most aspects of fitness, nutrition and overall health. We can talk productivity, stress management, mental and emotional health, personal and professional re-invention, self-esteem and self-confidence, we can talk about wine, chocolate, and meditation… all in the same video if you like.
Anything RECHARGE, and I’ll consider it. If I don’t have the answers I’ll do the research or find someone who does.

My wife and I are retired teachers and have followed your weekly recharge for years. Now that we are out of the workforce, we are interested in topics such as mental and physical health, dealing with our mortality and of friends and family. So exercise, meditation, yoga and tai chi are a daily part of our lives. We would be interested in some of the studies on brain research for over 55’s and how to maintain sound mental health.
